What Is Type 2 Diabetes?
Type-2 Diabetes, also known as adult-onset diabetes, happens when your body does not use insulin produced efficiently. Your body resists the effects of insulin. Initially, your pancreas produces extra insulin to compensate for it. However, over time, it is not able to keep up and produce enough insulin to maintain your blood glucose at normal levels.
Around 95 per cent of people who are diagnosed with diabetes have Type-2 Diabetes.
